DineForLess has no accounts, no sign-in and no forms that ask who you are. This page explains the little that the site does handle.

What the site stores in your browser

Saving a dish keeps it in your own browser's local storage. Nothing in that storage is sent to us. Clearing your browser data clears it, and it does not follow you to another device.

Your approximate location

The home page lists the areas nearest to you. To do that it uses the rough position that the hosting network attaches to a request, or failing that a coarse lookup of your network address that resolves to a city-sized area. The result is held in memory for up to a day so the lookup is not repeated, and it is never written to a database or tied to anything else about you. The Near me button asks your browser for a precise position only when you press it; the browser asks your permission first, and the position is used once to pick an area and is not sent to us.

Server logs

Like every website, the servers that run DineForLess keep short-lived logs of requests, which include a network address, the page asked for and the browser used. They are used to keep the site running and to spot abuse, and they are not used to build profiles.

Advertising

This site uses Google AdSense to display advertising on some pages. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Third-party vendors and ad networks may also use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your visits in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you; that information does not include your name, address, email address or telephone number.

You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and you can opt out of many other vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. How Google uses data from sites that use its services is explained at policies.google.com.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, consent is requested before personalised advertising cookies are used, and non-personalised ads, which still use cookies for frequency capping and fraud prevention, may be shown instead.

Cookies

DineForLess itself sets no cookies. The advertising services described above may set theirs. You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings, and doing so does not stop you browsing prices, though a saved dish may be forgotten.

Links to restaurants

Each dish page links to the restaurant's own website or to the ordering page where its menu is published. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

Your rights and how to reach us

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information a website holds about you and to have it corrected or deleted. DineForLess holds server logs and nothing else.
